Our ecologists are experienced and licensed to conduct Phase 2 surveys for the full range of protected and notable species and habitats, including:
- Great crested newts
- Plants (including NVC, BAP, Hedgerow Regulation surveys)
- Invasive species (Japanese knotweed, Giant hogweed, New Zealand Pigmyweed)
- Water voles
- Other mammals, amphibians, fish and crustaceans
Many of these surveys are seasonal and are required before planning permission can be obtained. Our ecologists can provide advice and guidance on the timings of surveys to assist in a smooth planning process.
Ensuring surveys are considered early on in the planning process can be key to avoiding any untimely delays in an application. Our survey timetable shows when surveys for these species can be conducted with the optimal period for most surveys between May and October.
