Managing change in the historic environment
We believe that the pursuit of new development and the conservation of our existing built heritage are not mutually exclusive aims. We have a successful track record of progressing schemes involving heritage assets from Threshing Barns to Control Towers.
Listed buildings should not represent a constraint, but an opportunity. Their adaptation and reuse is often the best way of ensuring their ongoing survival. With careful consideration Listed buildings can both enhance new development and also be enhanced by new development.
Though our work we have helped integrate new development successfully into the historic built environment and have transformed valuable neglected buildings into viable and useful assets.
Some of the services we offer include:
- Listed Building Consent applications and appeals;
- Heritage Statements;
- Heritage Impact Assessments;
- Historic building recording and photographic surveys, and
- Design guidance for listed buildings and historic environments.
