Approval for more houses in the countryside in Basingstoke and Deane Borough
Basingstoke and Deane Planning Committee has voted in favour of granting full planning permission for 17 new homes off Weston Road, in Upton Grey. The site comprises agricultural land and lies outside the Settlement Policy Boundary and adjacent to the Conservation Area. The proposal was consider to represent a sustainable form of development which would respect the character of its surroundings and deliver housing to boost local supply.
Pro Vision provided town planning consultancy and worked closely with the Local Planning Authority to agree the scale, design and density of development, and were also able to negotiate to minimize pre-commencement planning conditions to enable a quicker start on site. We are pleased to achieve this result for our client, Millgate Developments, who are delighted. Architectural design was done in house by Millgate.
