Pro Vision appoints two new associate directors

12th November, 2020

Pro Vision is pleased to announce the appointment of two new associate directors to further strengthen its planning team.

Gareth Johns and Luke Vallins will be supporting board directors Katherine Miles and James Iles in providing planning advice and managing projects, including preparing and submitting planning applications for clients.

Both Gareth and Luke are experienced RTPI (Royal Town Planning Institute) Chartered Town Planners each with an MSc in Development Planning and a bachelor’s degree in Geography.

Commenting on the new appointments, Pro Vision director Katherine Miles said: “We are delighted to welcome on board Luke and Gareth. They bring with them a variety of skills and breadth of experience to further enhance our multidisciplinary team of town planners, architects, urban designers and ecologists.”

Gareth has nearly a decade of experience in town planning, predominately in the private sector. Prior to joining Pro Vision, he worked for a national house builder and spent six years in Savills’ Reading office.

Gareth, who lives in South Oxfordshire, said: “I’m really excited to have joined the practice. Pro Vision’s planning and design services provide a unique opportunity to bring creative development solutions to all projects.  I look forward to working with the team to deliver the best expertise and service to our clients.”

Outside of work, Gareth enjoys sport and is an avid supporter of the Welsh rugby team.

Luke joins Pro Vision from consultancy Barton Willmore’s Southampton office. He started his career at Terence O’Rourke in Bournemouth where he progressed from planning assistant to senior planner over five years.

His past projects have ranged from large, mixed use redevelopment schemes to new schools and a solar farm.

Luke, who lives in Southampton, said: “I wanted to work at Pro Vision based on what I already knew of the people and interesting range of projects. Plus, it was good timing for me. As a smaller, independent company, I felt it would be an exciting opportunity to make my mark.”

In his leisure time, Luke enjoys swimming and working out in his home gym.

Pro Vision is an employee-owned consultancy with offices in Winchester and Newbury.
