Pro Vision recruits two new planners
Pro Vision continues to expand its team with two new recruits.
James Blake has been appointed as an assistant planner while Owen Hawe joins as a graduate planner.
New work and clients are driving growth for the practice currently employing more than 30 highly skilled and experienced town planners, architects, urban designers and ecologists with support staff.
“We are delighted to welcome James and Owen to the team. They will support the continued expansion and development of our work,” said Katherine Miles, planning director.
James, 30, joins Pro Vision from a property franchise company where he spent three years as a specialist planning consultant, gaining extensive experience in residential development projects. A University of Leicester geography graduate, he also achieved an MSc in Urban and Rural Planning.
James said: “I’m thrilled to be joining Pro Vision and am particularly looking forward to working on projects across different sectors, including residential, agricultural and commercial. Pro Vision’s diverse client base presents brilliant opportunities to expand my knowledge of planning and develop my career.”
When he’s not working, James, who commutes to work from his home in Bournemouth, enjoys water sports: paddle boarding, kite surfing and wind surfing.
Owen, 29, joins Pro Vision from the School of Built Environment at Ulster University where he was a postgraduate researcher. The title of his PhD thesis, which he is due to defend next year, is: ‘Planning for active living: aligning policy, product, practises and processes.’
Owen has an MSci in Urban Planning and Property Development and a BTEC National Diploma in Construction. Prior to starting his PhD, he worked for an estate agent and on a building site in Croatia. This is his first job in planning.
Owen, who moved from Armagh to take up the post, said: “I’m excited to be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team with ecologists, urban designers and architects. I’m very aware town planning demands a broad vision, not a silo-mentality.”
A music lover, his interests include playing the guitar and drums as well as working out at the gym.
