Pro Vision wins approval for gateway development in Slough - offices and garage to be redeveloped into homes
Pro Vision has secured outline planning permission for a major redevelopment scheme of 60 new flats in Slough.
The scheme, designed by Pro Vision for Feltham Properties Limited, will see a contemporary, five-storey, landmark building at the junction of Station Road and Bath Road on a gateway route into the town.
The new homes will be a mix of one, two and three-bedroom flats. At present, the site is occupied by an office building and garage which are due to become vacant later this year when the tenants relocate.
Slough Borough Council’s planning committee approved the scheme, including demolition of existing buildings, new access, amenity space, landscaping and boundary treatments, subject to completion of a satisfactory Section 106 agreement and conditions, which are now completed.
Pro Vision planning director James Iles said: “This regeneration scheme, in an area of the town earmarked for improvement, will provide 60 new homes and modernise the built environment.
“The site benefits from good access to the forthcoming Crossrail services, so redevelopment for housing is a more effective use. Our task was to secure the principle of development and the key development parameters with detailed design to follow.”
