Baroona

Baroona was a scheme for the development of 30 houses off Cupernham Lane in Romsey, Hampshire for a large local housebuilder.

The scheme was on a site that included an existing large 2 storey dwelling set within mature landscaped gardens. The development looked to reflect upon the pattern of development in other nearby local settings that created an informal form of development with a mixture of detached and attached dwellings.

The scheme clustered houses together in small groups that contained identifiable principal dwellings and positioned the dwellings with varying orientations to reflect the informal nature of the development. The scheme ranged from large 5 bed units to small terraced cottages.

Maintaining the landscaped boundary around the site was important as was working with the existing mature and semi-mature trees and the local ecology within the site.

The scheme has been completed on-site. Pro Vision worked on the scheme from its inception, providing architectural, urban design, ecology and planning services.
