Pamber End

Pamber End is the development of 11 dwellings on a site in North Hampshire.

The development, on part of an agricultural field comprises detached and semi-detached houses of which four will be affordable in line with council policy. All the properties, which are a mix of two, three, four and five-bedroom homes, have generous gardens.

The design includes a public open space, parking and cycle storage. Additionally, wildlife protection and habitat enhancement plans include planting new native trees and reinforcing hedgerows.

One of the main challenges was to integrate an area of open space which could be both useable and attractive. The concept was to place the houses around an area which could appear as a village green in keeping with the area.

Planning officers approved the scheme saying that the scheme would enhance and maintain the vitality of the community of Pamber End providing high quality amenities for future residents.

Pro Vision planning consultants, architects and ecologists worked closely with the borough council to achieve the best outcome for the semi-rural site.
