Churchfields

Churchfields was the development of a car dealership on an existing brownfield site.

The clients had acquired a Vauxhall franchise and wished to develop land which already had a Citroen dealership they owned on.

The building was intended to be a simple and elegant design, which provides adaptable accommodation of enduring quality. The proposal was for a striking and beneficial addition to the street scene whilst fitting into the character of the area generally. Its form clearly follows its function and has a very carefully considered relationship with the existing Citroen showroom. The building is glazed on three of its four elevations to emphasize its purpose as a showroom.

Alongside designing a building to meet the client’s needs, we had to work with the Vauxhall design guides for their showrooms in order to ensure that the showroom provided brand consistency.

We worked with Penton from the outset of the project taking the project through planning and technical drawing stages onto site. The project is now completed and in use.
