Our client acquired a large aircraft hangar building and some 8 hectares of concrete apron at part of the former RAF Binbrook military airfield and base in north east Lincolnshire. Without planning permission the client commenced operation of a successful business to refurbish and recondition ex-military and Local Authority equipment and machinery, as well as large diesel marine engines, for sale to customers in the UK and to export abroad.
Pro Vision was instructed to advise in response to enforcement action initiated by the Local Planning Authority seeking to cease the operation of the business. The site is located in the countryside which is part of an area of outstanding natural beauty (AONB).
Pro Vision advised the client on planning policy and the appointment, management and co-ordination of a multi-disciplinary team of consultants to promote an appeal which was resolved at Public Inquiry. A Planning Inspector supported the case prepared by Pro Vision and granted planning permission.
Pro Vision looked to ensure the conditions of the planning permission were implemented correctly so that the benefit of a very successful and valuable outcome could be retained by the client.
